Welcome to our first in-depth course profile! Today, we will be covering “Designing with the Xilinx 7 series PCIe Embedded Block,” a course that is part of our Fundamentals Track.
Initially, this course aims to introduce designers to the PCIe block embedded in the Xilinx 7 series FPGAs. In order to lay a proper foundation for the class, students will first learn about the basic building blocks of the Xilinx 7 series PCIe embedded block. Once this is accomplished, students will move onto learning how to perform practical tasks such as attaching a DMA controller to the backend of the PCIe core. By the end of this course, students will be able to complete more advanced actions such as configuring the FPGA in a PCIe system using Partial Reconfiguration in order to meet the PCIe Endpoint device’s “Enumeration-Ready” time.
Seeing how it is part of our Fundamentals Track, we can assure that the topics to be covered in this course will be practical and useful. We highly recommend this course to any engineers interested in understanding what the Xilinx-7 series PCIe Embedded Block is and all of the things that it is capable of.
